Polarization Cell Replacement (PCR)
The Polarization Cell Replacement (PCR) is a solid-state device designed to simultaneously provide DC decoupling and AC continuity/grounding when used with cathodically protected structures, such as pipelines, tanks, grounding systems, and cable casings. Commonly used to decouple electric equipment from grounding systems, for AC Mitigation projects, or other isolation and grounding applications, the PCR provides safety grounding while also isolating your cathodically protected structure, improving CP system performance. With a higher blocking voltage than polarization cells and other technologies, the PCR eliminates the need for placing devices in series. Additionally,high AC fault current and lightning surge current ratings provide long-life with a low risk of product failure making it an ideal solution. The PCR has been used by customers around the world and is the original solid-state decoupler offered to the industry.

Polarization Cell Replacement for Hazardous Locations (PCRH)
Dairyland offers two versions of the Polarization Cell Replacement for addressing hazardous (classified) locations: the standard PCR for Class I, Div 2 and Zone 2 areas, and the PCRH for Class 1, Division 1 and Zone 1 areas. Featuring the same technology as the PCR in an explosion-proof package, the PCRH has been fully tested and listed by Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL) to the US and Canadian standards, as well as to European standards ATEX and IECEx. Third party certifications to these standards make Dairyland decouplers the first in the world to carry such certifications.
