The PSM is a self-contained wireless remote monitoring unit for pipe-to-soil and potential to structure CP test station measurements. PSM monitors the reference electrode output, giving scheduled data reports and alarm notification in the event of extreme CP readings.
The PSM features wide-area connectivity via digital radio; transmitting data wirelessly to the OmniMetrix secure Internet site. No custom software is required; all you need is a PC equipped with Internet Explorer. The monitor compares its input measurements to preset alarm levels, and can deliver alarms upon detection of our-of-bounds conditions. Alarm levels and reporting intervals are remotely programmable.
OmniUpdateTM is an OmniMetrix exclusive, that performs remote updates. No need for field laptops – the PSM’s firmware is automatically updated to keep it evergreen over the life of the monitor.
The PSM may be direct-buried in the soil, with only a 5” dome visible above the soil. It is also available in polemount or test-station cap versions. Enclosures are by Cott Manufacturing.
PSM features 10 year Lithium battery power. An integral Tamper detection function will automatically and instantaneously awaken the unit and cause a Tamper Alarm transmission. This function is utilized for security against unauthorized intrusion of the monitor. OmniMetrix also offers a complete PSM kit which includes a riser clamp and GMC bagged reference cell.
